Question 1

What does 'refurbished' mean for your printers and scanners?

Accepted Answer

At The Printer Pros, 'refurbished' means far more than a quick clean and a fresh coat of paint. Every unit goes through a meticulous 21-point refurbishment process performed by our authorized technicians, including full disassembly and inspection, genuine OEM parts only, roller and sensor replacement, gear and mechanical component inspection, complete cleaning and cosmetic restoration, and final testing. The result is a printer that performs like new, backed by our warranty — at a fraction of the cost of buying new.

Question 20

How do I know which printer is right for my business?

Key factors to consider include print volume, color vs. black and white needs, multifunction vs. single function, and network connectivity. Laser printers are ideal for business use at any volume. For high-volume scanning needs, consider pairing a dedicated laser printer with a standalone document scanner. Still not sure? Email us at Sales@theprinterpros.com or call 800-836-0144 during business hours.

Question 21

What's the difference between an MFP scanner and a dedicated document scanner?

Accepted Answer

The differences are significant. A typical MFP holds only 50 sheets in the ADF tray vs. 500 sheets for a dedicated scanner. MFPs scan at 25-35 pages per minute vs. 100-130 pages per minute for dedicated scanners. MFPs are rated for 5,000-6,000 scans/month vs. 50,000-75,000+ for high-end dedicated scanners. If scanning is a core part of your business, a dedicated scanner paired with a laser printer will dramatically outperform any MFP.
