What does 'refurbished' mean for your printers and scanners?

At The Printer Pros, 'refurbished' means far more than a quick clean and a fresh coat of paint. Every unit goes through a meticulous 21-point refurbishment process performed by our authorized technicians, including full disassembly and inspection, genuine OEM parts only, roller and sensor replacement, gear and mechanical component inspection, complete cleaning and cosmetic restoration, and final testing. The result is a printer that performs like new, backed by our warranty — at a fraction of the cost of buying new.

What brands do you carry?

We specialize in top business brands across two categories: Laser Printers & Multifunction Printers (MFPs): HP, Kyocera, and Lexmark. Professional Document Scanners: Canon, Fujitsu, Kodak, Panasonic, Ricoh, and Xerox.

Are refurbished printers reliable for business use?

Absolutely. Our refurbished units undergo rigorous quality testing and are trusted by businesses of all sizes. Many of our customers are IT managers and office administrators who rely on our equipment daily.

Do you sell new printers as well as refurbished?

We specialize in professionally refurbished printing equipment, which offers significant cost savings over new units without sacrificing performance or reliability.

Do you carry multifunction printers that print, scan, copy, and fax?

Yes! We carry a wide selection of multifunction printers (MFPs) that handle printing, scanning, copying, and faxing — ideal for busy office environments.

Do your refurbished printers come with a warranty?

Yes. All of our refurbished printers and scanners include a 90-day warranty and 1 year of free phone tech support.

Can I purchase an extended warranty?

Yes, we offer extended warranty options at checkout for added peace of mind. Extended coverage is available for most products in our catalog.

How much can I save buying refurbished vs. new?

Customers typically save 40-70% compared to buying the same model new, making refurbished equipment an excellent value for businesses looking to reduce costs without compromising quality.

How long does shipping take?

Ready-to-ship items process in 1-2 business days; refurbished units take 1-9 business days to prepare, then 3-7 business days for delivery.

Do you offer inside delivery for large equipment?

Yes, we offer inside delivery for larger copiers and multifunction units. This service ensures your equipment is delivered to your desired room or office rather than just the doorstep.

Do you ship nationwide across the United States?

Yes, we ship to all 50 states. Contact us for freight shipping details on larger equipment.

How is large printing equipment packaged for shipping?

All equipment is carefully packaged with protective materials to prevent damage during transit. Larger units are palletized and shipped via freight carrier.

Do you offer technical support after purchase?

Yes, our team is available to assist with setup, installation, and basic troubleshooting after your purchase. Contact us via our website for support.

Will a refurbished printer work with my existing ink or toner cartridges?

Yes — our refurbished printers use the same cartridges as the original models. Cartridge compatibility information is listed on each product page.

Do your printers come with drivers and setup instructions?

Yes, all units include or provide access to the necessary drivers and setup documentation to get your printer up and running quickly.

Can I connect your printers to a wireless network?

It depends on the model! Many of our printers include a wired network port (look for 'n' in the model name, such as the HP M477fdn) which connects via ethernet cable directly to your router. Models with built-in wireless will typically include 'w' in the model name (such as the HP M477fnw). Always check the individual product specifications for connectivity details. For the fastest response, email us at Sales@theprinterpros.com or call 800-836-0144 during business hours.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and Shop Pay — including Shop Pay Installments, which lets you split your purchase into easy payments.

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be pre-authorized before returning. Return shipping for non-defective items is the customer's responsibility, and original shipping charges are non-refundable. A 20% restocking fee may apply to incorrectly ordered or unwanted items. Most refurbished printers include a 90-day to 1-year warranty covering hardware and electronics. Within the first 90 days, we cover all shipping costs for replacements or repairs.

Can I place a bulk order for multiple units?

Yes! We welcome bulk and wholesale orders for businesses needing multiple units. Contact us directly to discuss volume pricing and availability.

How do I know which printer is right for my business?

Key factors to consider include print volume, color vs. black and white needs, multifunction vs. single function, and network connectivity. Laser printers are ideal for business use at any volume. For high-volume scanning needs, consider pairing a dedicated laser printer with a standalone document scanner. Still not sure? Email us at Sales@theprinterpros.com or call 800-836-0144 during business hours.

What's the difference between an MFP scanner and a dedicated document scanner?

The differences are significant. A typical MFP holds only 50 sheets in the ADF tray vs. 500 sheets for a dedicated scanner. MFPs scan at 25-35 pages per minute vs. 100-130 pages per minute for dedicated scanners. MFPs are rated for 5,000-6,000 scans/month vs. 50,000-75,000+ for high-end dedicated scanners. If scanning is a core part of your business, a dedicated scanner paired with a laser printer will dramatically outperform any MFP.
